In a statement shared by a Reddit user, the CEO of Topaz Labs has said that the company wasn't focusing on improving existing products as much as they wanted to. "Although it started out with good intentions, our free upgrade policy ultimately prevented us from delivering the best possible products to you," says the CEO of Topaz Labs. Products under the Topaz Labs umbrella include DeNoise AI, Sharpen AI, Gigapixel AI and Mask AI and even though the company liked the fact that they were giving upgrades to these products for free, instead of charging for every little thing, they've now realised it's just not feasible.
